Abstract: Based on the analyses of the modern progresses of wave optics，this paper proposes a thesis that the modern wave optics is just the wavefront optics;creates a theoretical outline of wavefront optics，including the wavefront’s description and recognition，the wavefront’s superposition and interference，the wavefronts transformation and resolution，the wavefronts’s holograph and reconstruction，as well as the wavefront’s design and engineering.
