Several types of infinite integrals involving essential singularities of the integrand in the interval of integration are studied. The integrands are products of a general rational function, a trigonometric function of x and one of 1/x. General formulae are derived by using the approach of contour integration and the results are expressed in terms of residues. Several examples are given.

The relative motion equation of Foucault pendulum is solved by using the conservation law and its exact solution is a hypotrochoid in the polar coordinate. Both curvature radius and periodic formation of trajectory are determined by means of the geometric property of hypotrochoid. It is proved that the rotation speed of vector of velocity is always equal to -ωsin λ.

Initial value is an important factor denoting physical behavior of stored-energy element. Thus the determination of the initial value is also very important for analyzing the dynamic circuit. After introducing the sig- nificance of the research for initial value, this paper describes the initial value of RL normal or morbid circuit by bounded source stimulus amply and thoroughly through analyzing inductor initial current and impulse voltage of five typical RL normal and morbid circuits. Moreover, the significant conclusion is drawn that inductor voltage must be impulse voltage. The solution of inductor initial current for four RL morbid circuits can be gained, namely, suppo- sing voltage is impulse voltage, then it solutes the initial value according to the conservation law of magnetic linkage or the KVL equations of the inductor subnet. It enhances the cognition for RL morbid circuit initial value and tran- sient response in theory, and solves the difficulty of gaining the initial value in RL morbid circuit.

A classic problem in electric circuit theory studied by numerous authors over 150 years is the computation of the resistance between two nodes in a resistor network, but some basic problems in polygon resistance network are still not solved. In this paper we intend to promote the polygonal network structure to cobweb structure, and study the equivalent resistance formula of 2×n cobweb model. We obtain a universal formula of the equivalent resistance by using the methods of network analysis and matrix transformation. It is found that the equivalent resist- ance value decreases along the growing of the order n, and the value is limitary. Putting forward a conjecture on the equivalent resistance formula, a conjecture on the equivalent capacitance formula of any m×n cobweb model accord- ing to the structure character of equivalent resistance formula is obtained. This offers a thought direction which to study the intricate cobweb network.

In the course of quantum mechanics, the state superposition principle plays a key role of the overall situation. Also, it is a difficult content in the teaching process. We introduce the teaching experience about quan- tum state superposition principle in this paper. After lecturing the principle of quantum state superposition with a typical problems solving process, we explain how to correctly compute mechanics operators in quantum superposi- tion state and discuss the relationship of observation and measurement value. It is helpful to understand the wave function collapse, correct understanding of the quantum state not cloning theorem and the empty preach content the- ory.

Digital incoherent holography enables holograms to be recorded from incoherent light with just a dig- ital camera and spatial light modulator, and three-dimensional properties of the specimen are revealed after the hol- ogram is reconstructed in the computer. The digital microscopic holography experiment of coaxial phase shift inco- herent is designed and implemented based on the principle of Fresnel incoherent correlation holography. An auto- matic control program is developed based on LabVIEW, which combines the functions of major experimental hard- ware control and digital reconstruction of the holograms. The experimental results show that our system is high effi- cient and can reduce the errors which are caused by the shaking of manual operation. The basic functions of the system are completed and a user-friendly interface is provided for easy operation.

The autoparametric resonance of three-dimensional spring pendulum is analyzed in terms of both the theory and the numeral calculation. It is found that the motion of three-dimensional spring pendulum in the horizon- tal plane can be approximated as the line segment with continuous deflection. The polar angle of the spring pendu- lum in the horizontal plane remains approximately constant within a period of time. In the case of micro-vibration the relation between the change of polar angle and the initial conditions is linear.
