A calculation method for phase difference in interference with an anisotropic medium parallel plate is proposed. It has been proved that fringes of extraordinary waves are ellipses. The ratio of two semi-axes of the ellipse is equal to the ratio of two principal refractive indices. The experiment with a lithium niobate crystal has been completed and which is in agreement with the theoretical result.

The two-step linearization method for the nonlinear problem is introduced based on the thermistance bridge thermometer, and the analytical expression of linear equation, maximum nonlinear error and maximum error of temperature measurement for several typical plan of which are deduced. The optimal plan of which is also given and the step used to determine the bridge parameters of several typical plan of which is introduced. Both the theoretical analysis and experimental result show that the two-step linearization method is correct. The optimal plan of which is less than about 1.4℃ of the method of one-step linearization for the temperature range from 25℃ to 85℃.

How was the formula of Lorentz force produced in 1892 when electron had not been discovered and no any evidence had been given? After recalling the argument between action with distance and action without distance as well as the argument of "what electricity was" in the history of electromagnetics, we point out that the formula of Lorentz force is the product of combination the electromagnetic field with "electricity is charged particle".
