    . 2008, 27(6):  1-1.

Every thermodynamic quantity in the thermal equilibrium state can never bear large fluctuation.Specially, a criterion is proposed for the existence of the thermal equilibrium state in order to obey the requirement that both energy and entropy fluctuations must be small. Examples show that the number of particles 10^23 may be not large enough to guarantee the thermal equilibrium state for some systems at low temperature.

A recursive matrix method is adopted for the computation of dyadic Green' s functions in horizontally stratified media with arbitrary number of layers. Three matrix equation groups for computing the coefficients of the Sommerfeld integrals are obtained according to the continuity condition of electric and magnetic fields across the interface between different layers, which are in correspondence with the TM wave produced by a vertical unit electric dipole and the TE or TM wave produced by a horizontal unit electric dipole, respectively. All the equation groups can be quickly solved via the recursive method. The dyadic Green's functions with source point and field point be- ing in any layer can be conveniently obtained by merely changing the position of the elements within the source term of the equation groups. The expression of the dyadic Green's functions provided by this paper is terse in form and does not have exponentially increasing term, so it does not overflow during computation.

The binding energies of the ground state and the low-lying excited states of hydrogen-like impurity in a InAs/GaAs quantum dot are investigated by applying the effective mass approximation and the perturbation. In the two-dimensional polar coordinate, the electron Schrodinger equation is solved exactly in a parabolic confinement potential. The numerical results show that the binding energies of the ground state and the low - lying excited states of hydrogen-like impurity sensitively depend on the frequency of the parabolic confinement potential and the spectrum is shifted forward to the blue because of hydrogen-like impurites. These results are useful for designing and fabricating the QD devices.
The effects of n and l quatum numbers on radial wavefunction of bound electron

The effects of n and l quantum numbers on radial wavefunction of H, K and K-like ion are studied by using the Hartree-Fork average self-consistent field(SCF) theory. Usually the core is very compact, and the wavefunction is found to be just as that of hydrogenic electron when n and l are large. The centrifugal potential prevents the electron from penetrating so far into the small r region of core, and the nodes position of radial wavefunctions is shown to remain essentially static with different n and l. In the region near the nucleus the centrifugal potential is so important that the electron with small l penetrates only slightly into the core region, the centrifugal repulsion will keep the large l electron at rather large radii. With increasing ionization, the effects of centrifugal potential become weaker oppositely, and the electron with any l can penetrate into the core region.

Through the introduction of dynamical symmetry, the method of construct the Hamiltonian of the molecule is derived and the general method of dealing with "vibration-vibration coupling" and "vibration-rotation coupling" molecular spectroscopy are deduced. An example (HCO molecule) is induced to elucidate this method by choosing a certain group chain to construct Hamiltonian of this molecular system and illustrating that the group chain is unique. It also makes a principal introduction of some other applications of Lie algebra method in the molecular spectroscopy (e. g. local-mode, the spectroscopy'of multi-atomic molecule) and elucidates some question of this method in the last of this paper.
