The basic starting point of statistics is the stochasticity of the underlying system. Macroscopic thermodynamic properties of different systems under different situations is originated from the diversity in the intrinsic stochasticity of these systems. Based on an exhaustive exploration of microscopic nonlinear dynamics of thermodynamic system, one can get a deeper understanding of a number of thermodynamic phenomena such as matter-state equations and phase transitions. In this paper, nonlinear dynamics of Hamiltonian systems and dynamical stochasticity in ergodic theory are analyzed. Our analysis indicates that global chaos is the essence for the validity of statistics. Infinite numbers of degrees of freedom and thermodynamic limit are not the decisive criterion for statistics. In torms of this few-body statistical mechanics and thermodynamics can be built.

The cellular automaton model is used to simulate the critical phenomenon of the two dimensional Ising model. The diagrams of phase transition and space-time evolution are given. It is found that the critical temperature gotten through numerical simulation fits quite well with the theoretical value when there is no external field.

The products βεi be unnegative is without question in mathematics, but some scientists suspect this conclusion in physics. They regard that the products βεi is both positive and negative in probability function. In order to settle the suspects of the small but fundamental problem, we put forward this discussion for the symbol of products βεi.

A general discussion of kinetic energy and elastic potential energy of springs in series is made on the occasion that the mass of spring can not be neglected. It turns out that kinetic energy of springs in series is not only related to spring mass ml, m2, but also spring constant kl ,k2, however, elastic potential energy is only decided by absolute elongation of springs in series and their elastic constants.

The center of mass is not a certain concept in relativity theory. In relativistic mechanics, center of mass system is replaced by center of momentum system(the reference system in which the total momentum of a physical system equals zero). The arguments and conclusions in the paper“Relativistic theorem for the motion of center of mass and the mass defect”are commented.
