An introduction to a recently established lemma is presented. The lemma enables us to evaluate integrals involving powers and exponentials on a large semicircle. Based on the lemma and the residue theorem, two general for- mulae are derived for infinite integrals are expressed in terms of residues and involving powers, rational functions and trigonometric functions, and the results Laurent coefficients of the rational function. Several examples are given.

A quantum dynamical algebraic approach is proposed, which is associated with a pair of the raising and lowering opera- tors for solving the bound energy eigen-problem for one-dimensional quantum system with the second Poschl-Teller potential. In addi- tion, the SU(2) Lie algebra related to this quantum system can be built naturally based on the Hamilton operator as well as the raising and lowering operators. The eigen-values and eigen-functions of a physical system in the potential of this kind are also obtained by u- sing the present algebraic technique.

The motion equations of a particle-free smooth flute system are derived by using the Lagrange equa- tions in the conservative system. The equations are solved numerically to investigate the motion of the system. The numerical results show that the motion of the particle obviously depends on the initial conditions of the system.

Considering the edge effect, the internal electric field area and the external electric field area of non -parallel plate capacitor are transformed to complex plane of the upper and lower half plane with conformal map- ping. Then we transform them to the upper and lower half plane of the rectangular area of the complex plane. So that it can be used ideal plate capacitor of capacitance calculation formula to calculate the original plate capacitor of ca- pacitance.

Using the superposition principle of the magnetic field and the theoretical method of elliptic integrals as well as symmetry of the ellipse, we obtain the distribution of magnetic field in the central axis line generated by an elliptic electric current. We discuss systematically and intensively the effects of the elliptic flattening on the mag- netic field distribution in central axis line. The important properties which the elliptic flattening makes the distribu- tion of magnetic field intensity in the central axis show a maximum structure are revealed.

The propagation characteristics of plane electromagnetic wave in left handed materials (LHM)are simulated using MATLAB. The numerical results indicate that the intensity of electric field decrease with the in- crease of propagation distance, and the energy attenuates. In the teaching of college physics and electromagnetics, the visualizing abstract concepts of electromagnetic fields can not only help students to understand the application in various fields, but also inspire students interesting and improve the teaching result.

An experimental study of an excited parametric vibration is reported, the resonance condition is that external frequency is twice as large as inherent frequency, and the direction of driving force is vertical to movement direction. The amplitude-frequency characteristic of the resonance and the critical state are discussed. When both intensity of vertical excitation and frequency width number are small, the law of vibration is sensitive to frequency width number . While frequency width number is reduced, amplitude number will oscillate with time. That is "beat" phenomenon. Both period number and peak-valley difference number increase with the decrease of frequency width number. After "beat" disappears, the amplitude number continues increasing exponentially with time number. When frequency width number equals to zero, the amplitude number increases sharply with the period number, the vibra- tion is unstable and then resonance occurs. Based on the pendulum model ,the numerical solutions of dynamic equa- tion are in well agreement with the experimental results. The experimental study for solving problems such as pre- vention of natural disasters associated with resonance has potential applications.
